How your alarm works with everything else
Your Ajax intruder alarm isn't a box on its own. It shares one app and one platform with your cameras, fire, leak and automation devices, so detection, verification and response all join up.
One app for the whole system
Arm and disarm, check status and review history for your intruder, fire, leak and panic devices from a single app, alongside your AI cameras. No separate logins or extra fobs to juggle.
Camera-verified alarm events
When a detector trips, the camera covering that zone gives a verified view of what caused it. You and the monitoring centre see whether it's a real intruder or a false trigger before anyone responds.
24/7 ARC with police response
Add a monitored plan and signals route to a 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre. Verified activations can be escalated for police response under a Unique Reference Number (URN), with your keyholders called too.
Scenarios across devices
Arming the alarm can trigger linked actions, such as lights, sirens or camera recording. Fire, leak or panic events can also fire their own scenarios, so the whole system reacts together.
What to consider when you design it
A good alarm is about the right detectors in the right places, with verification to keep it credible. Here's how we'd approach it, the same way our engineers plan a survey.
Protect every entry point
Fit door and window contacts on the doors and accessible windows an intruder would actually use. These give the earliest warning, often before anyone is fully inside.
Cover key internal rooms
Place motion (PIR) detectors to catch movement through hallways, landings and the rooms holding your most valuable items. A few well-positioned detectors beat one in every room.
Add photo-verification detectors
Motion detectors with a built-in camera attach a snapshot to each activation. That confirms a genuine break-in, cuts false alarms and is what lets the ARC request a faster police response.
Pet-immune detection
If you have a dog or cat, choose pet-tolerant detectors and set them at the right height. You keep full protection without the pet setting the alarm off every time it moves.
Detect at the perimeter
Outdoor motion detectors and external sirens push the boundary out, warning you while an intruder is still in the garden or driveway rather than once they're indoors.
Dual-path signalling
Use both broadband and 4G so a cut phone line or dropped internet can't silence the alarm. The system keeps a path open to you and the monitoring centre at all times.
Grade and standards to match the risk
We specify the right EN security grade and install to PD 6662, so cover suits your property and any insurer requirement. As an SSAIB and BAFE approved installer, that's built in.

Frequently asked questions
An Ajax system is built around wireless detectors, door and motion sensors and a hub, all controlled from one app on your phone. Many devices use photo verification, so you receive an image of what triggered the alarm rather than just a notification. Homeview Surveillance designs each Essex or Suffolk installation around your property after a free, no-obligation site survey, and finance is available to spread the cost.
When a verified alarm is triggered, the signal is sent to a 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) staffed around the clock. Trained operators assess the activation and, where the alarm is verified, request a police response on your behalf. This is far more reliable than an audible-only bells-only alarm, which depends on a neighbour or passer-by noticing and acting.
Yes. Homeview Surveillance is both SSAIB and BAFE approved, and has been installing security systems since 1997. These accreditations mean systems are designed, installed and maintained to recognised industry standards, which is also what insurers and ARC police-response schemes expect.
Wireless Ajax systems suit most properties because there is minimal cabling and disruption, making them ideal for occupied homes, period buildings and small commercial premises. Sensors and the system can be expanded as your needs change, from a single flat in Clacton-on-Sea to a shop or office in Colchester. A free site survey establishes the right detector layout for your specific building.
Start by booking a free, no-obligation site survey on 01255 436150, where a local engineer assesses your property and recommends a tailored Ajax system. You then receive a clear quotation with no pressure to proceed, and finance options are available to help spread the cost. Homeview Surveillance covers Essex and Suffolk for domestic work, with nationwide cover for commercial contracts.
