Homeview Surveillance

AI video surveillance, monitored and compliant specified to your operational requirement

Homeview Surveillance designs, installs, monitors and maintains commercial CCTV for facilities, estates and multi-site security teams across Essex, Suffolk and nationally. Every system is built around a documented operational requirement (BS EN 62676), AI analytics, 24/7 ARC monitoring and full UK GDPR data-protection compliance. Specification-led from survey to handover — never an off-the-shelf camera count.

Capabilities

AI video surveillance, engineered to your operational requirement

Designed around a documented operational requirement (BS EN 62676) and built on open standards (ONVIF) and the Ajax ecosystem, our systems turn cameras into a defined detection, deterrence and evidential capability rather than a generic camera count.

AI video analytics

Server- and edge-based analytics for person, vehicle and object classification, line-cross, intrusion zones, loitering, crowding and abandoned-object alerts to cut false activations and operator fatigue.

ANPR & vehicle management

Number-plate recognition for barrier control, allow/deny lists, site access logging and incident investigation across car parks, yards and goods entrances.

Coverage to specification

Camera selection and placement modelled to BS EN 62676 picture-quality categories — monitor, detect, observe, recognise and identify — so each scene meets its evidential purpose.

Scene performance

Wide dynamic range, low-light and IR/white-light illumination, weatherproof (IP-rated) housings and PoE infrastructure engineered for demanding internal and external environments.

Multi-site by design

Standardised camera, recorder and network builds replicated across estates, with centralised health monitoring and a consistent evidential standard at every location.

Evidential integrity

Accurate time synchronisation, audit logging and tamper-evident export so recorded footage stands up as evidence for investigations and disclosure.

Monitoring & response

24/7 ARC monitoring, remote guarding and verified response

Detection is only useful if someone acts on it. Cameras can be connected to our 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre for human-verified alarms, remote guarding and an escalation path that includes keyholders and police response.

Alarm Receiving Centre

Activations are routed to a 24/7 ARC where trained operators assess analytics-triggered events, verify genuine incidents and follow agreed escalation procedures.

Remote guarding

Operators can carry out live virtual patrols and intervene through on-site audio talk-down to challenge intruders and deter activity before it escalates.

Verified alarms

Visual and audio verification confirms genuine events and reduces false alarms, supporting a faster, intelligence-led response from the ARC.

Police response & URN

Where the deployment qualifies, monitored systems can be registered for police response under a Unique Reference Number, in line with the relevant police policy.

Keyholding & escalation

Agreed call lists, keyholder dispatch and incident reporting ensure every activation is closed out and documented for the record.

System health monitoring

Camera, recorder and connectivity status are monitored continuously so faults and blind spots are identified and addressed proactively, not after an incident.

Compliance & data protection

Lawful, accountable surveillance under UK GDPR & the DPA

Commercial CCTV processes personal data and must be justified, proportionate and documented. We design and document deployments to support your obligations under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act, anchored to a written operational requirement.

Operational requirement

A documented operational requirement to BS EN 62676 and Secured by Design principles defines purpose, threats, scene-by-scene image quality and the justification for each camera.

DPIA support

We support your Data Protection Impact Assessment with system documentation, field-of-view records and privacy-mask configuration to demonstrate necessity and proportionality.

Retention & access

Retention periods, access controls, audit logging and secure export are configured to your data-retention policy so footage is kept only as long as justified.

Signage & transparency

Guidance on compliant signage and privacy information so data subjects are informed of surveillance, the operator and the purpose of processing.

Privacy by design

Privacy masking of out-of-scope areas, restricted-area controls and special-category considerations are built in from design, not retrofitted.

Documented & auditable

As-fitted records, configuration documentation and a clear accountability trail give your DPO and auditors the evidence they need.

Integration & maintenance

Cyber-hardened, integrated and maintained to SLA

Surveillance is one layer of an integrated security estate. We build on open standards, harden devices against cyber threats and maintain systems under a planned, SLA-backed regime so capability is sustained over the asset's life.

VMS, control room & video wall

Open-standard video management with multi-monitor control-room workstations, video-wall layouts, mapping and bookmarking for live operations and rapid investigation.

Cyber-hardening

ONVIF-conformant, NDAA-considered hardware, segregated VLANs, disabled default credentials, encrypted streams and patch management to reduce the attack surface.

Integrated security

CCTV integrated with intruder detection (EN 50131 / PD 6662), access control and fire so a single event can trigger coordinated, auditable responses across systems.

Resilient infrastructure

Structured cabling to BS EN 50173 — Cat6A and fibre — with PoE budgeting, UPS-backed power and redundant recording to keep evidence capture continuous.

Planned maintenance

Preventive and corrective maintenance to a defined SLA, with response targets, scheduled health checks and firmware management to keep systems compliant and reliable.

Documentation & handover

Full O&M manuals, as-fitted drawings, asset registers and operator training so facilities, estates and security teams can run the system with confidence.

Frequently asked

Commercial security & tender FAQs

A typical deployment covers ONVIF-compliant IP cameras, network video recording, secure switching and cabling installed to BS 7671, plus configuration of video analytics such as line-crossing, intrusion detection and people or vehicle classification. Coverage is designed around a documented site survey and operational requirements statement, with footage retention and access controls set to suit your estate. As an SSAIB and BAFE approved installer established in 1997, Homeview specifies, installs and commissions the full system rather than just supplying hardware.

Yes. Systems are built around the ONVIF open standard so cameras, recorders and video management software interoperate and you are not locked into a single proprietary vendor. This allows AI 4K turret cameras and analytics to integrate with existing VMS platforms, access control and network infrastructure where compatible. Integration scope is confirmed during the technical survey and detailed in the specification provided for your ITT or procurement file.

Commercial CCTV processes personal data, so deployments are designed to support your obligations under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 and the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice. Homeview can advise on camera siting, privacy masking, retention periods, signage and access logging to inform your Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA). The data controller responsibility remains with your organisation, but the system documentation and as-fitted records are structured to evidence proportionate, compliant operation.

Yes. Secure remote viewing gives authorised staff encrypted access to live and recorded footage across multiple sites from a central point. For higher-risk premises, analytics-triggered events can be passed to the 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), which provides monitoring with police response where the relevant grading and response criteria are met. This allows verified alarm handling rather than reliance on local recording alone.

Engagement begins with a technical site survey and a written specification that can support your PQQ, ITT or framework requirements, including relevant standards such as EN 50131, PD 6662 and BS 7671. Once installed and commissioned, systems are supported under a planned maintenance agreement with defined SLAs covering inspections, firmware and remote diagnostics. For projects spanning multiple locations, Homeview serves Essex and Suffolk from its Clacton-on-Sea head office and undertakes commercial contracts nationwide; call 01255 436150 to arrange a survey.
